Ford Focus 2011 – 18 Child Safety, Parts & Repair Review

Ford Focus

is a responsive, yet fun, car to drive. It’s clean look and enhanced quality combines into a dynamic vehicle. Compact with class-leading character and appearance, there is plenty to admire inside and out of this Ford.

This radical front-driver allows for a firm, yet supple, ride. The steering is coupled with the fabulous poise and handling.

It goes to show that even small cars don’t have to be banal. Instead, their charisma and luxury can provide fuel-efficiency and a satisfying ride.

To test its durability, Euro NCAP ran a frontal Offset Crash test on the Ford Focus and it received a 5-star rating based on its performance and protection in high-speed front and side crash tests.

Child Safety

When riding the Ford Focus, children less than 18 month of age should be facing the rear. After that age, it is advised that children be forward-facing. This is to avoid the impact on the chest.

POOR WEAK MARGINAL ADEQUATE GOOD

Safety may be of concern. In a frontal impact collision, the driver only has adequate right lower limbs. Protection for the rest of occupants and the driver is good. The Focus provides weak protection for the chest, abdomen, and upper-lower body when in a side impact collision.

Whiplash in a rear impact collision is good and pedestrian protection is adequate. Despite this, through rigorous testing, safety in the Focus received a 5-star rating for crashworthiness and safety.
