Citroen C3 2002 – 09 Child Safety, Parts & Repair Review

Citroen C3

used cars are unforgettable hatchbacks while on the road. With a distinct look and structural, the Citroen C3 has that feel-good factor many are looking for. This supermini boasts a level of style that combines athletic with modern dynamism.

The outgoing model appeals to those that appreciate style. The architecture of the interior is of high build quality, fit and finish.

With firm seating and snug luggage space, the agility of the C3 was once unprecedented. This Citroen C3 is a pleasant vehicle with smooth ride quality.

To test its durability, Euro NCAP ran a frontal Offset Crash test on the Citroen C3 and it received a    4-STAR rating based on its performance and protection in high-speed front and side crash tests.

Watch the Crash test video here.

Child Safety

When riding the C3, children less than 18 month of age should be facing the rear. After that age, it is advised that children be forward-facing. This is to avoid the impact on the chest.

POOR WEAK MARGINAL ADEQUATE GOOD

However, safety could potentially be of concern. In a frontal impact collision, the driver only has marginal protection, while passengers have adequate protection. The C3 provides weak protection for the chest when in a side impact collision and very poor whiplash in a rear impact collision. Pedestrian protection is poor as well.

Despite this, the C3 has been given a 4-star rating for crashworthiness, ability to protect the legs, and safety assistance.
