Citroen DS3 2009 – Child Safety, Parts & Repair
Citroen DS3
is a premium hatchback has a distinctive design with a differently painted roof. By standing out on the road, the Citroen DS3 is not for those who want to hide on the road.
Adapting to Citroen’s reputation of a sleek design and quirkiness, the DS3 is a sporty vehicle inside and out.
Interiorly, the Citroen DS3 is plush and comfortable, perfect for any flouncy designer. Driving this concept car, the DS3 is the more posh sibling of the C3. Great for cruising down any highway, the DS3 is a standout vehicle no matter where you are.
To test its durability, Euro NCAP ran a frontal Offset Crash test on the Citroen DS3 Picasso and it received a 5-star rating based on its performance and protection in high-speed front and side crash tests.

Child Safety
When riding the DS3, children less than 18 month of age should be facing the rear. After that age, it is advised that children be forward-facing. This is to avoid the impact on the chest.
POOR | WEAK | MARGINAL | ADEQUATE | GOOD |
Safety may be of concern. In a frontal impact collision, the driver only has adequate protection of the chest and left leg. The DS3 provides weak protection for the chest when in a side impact collision and marginally weak whiplash in a rear impact collision.
Pedestrian protection is poor as well. Protection for the occupants, however, is good. Despite this, the DS3 has been given a 5-star rating for crashworthiness, ability to protect the legs, and safety assistance.
